The space
My place is located close to the riverfront ghats on the Ganges, my tenement is an extension of the family house and ideal for tourists and travellers looking to let out for a long stay for a cultural exchange experience along with their ongoing travails of the landscape sights. It is located in the heart of Kashi city, very nearby to the very famed Kashi Vishwanath Temple. While all daily groceries and supplies are easily available and the local bazaar is a stone’s throw away, the house is centrally located from the nearest railway station and bus terminus.
Ideally conceptualised in the spiritual abode of India and the heart of Hindu culture, Kashi, the tenement is ideal for foreign tourists who wish to explore the famed mystical experience of the Indian culture and how it is built around the values of Hinduism, along with a chance to stay in the midst of an Indian family and be a part of everyday life constructed around Hindu values.
Varanasi itself is the oldest documented city and seat of civillization. Amazingly baptized The Temple Town, this quaint city flourished along the banks of the Ganges and houses as many as 72,000 Hindu shrines dedicated to various deities some dating back as early as 50 BC. Interested candidates can not only opt to explore the various nook and corners of this time locked town and its various traditions and rites at their own sweet time while they stay at our tenement. Also situated at a distance of mere 14 kmsfrom Varanasi, is a place called Sarnath where Lord Buddha is said to have delivered his first sermon after gaining enlightenment and his of high historical importance.

Guests will stay in the heart of the quaint and time locked city of Kashi, the heart of Hindu culture. It will be a unique opportunity for a foreigner to the culture to view the city from a local lens.
We belong to an affluent and very old Bramhin family originating from Varanasi and have our century old ancestral home, part of which has been modified and renovated to serve as an extension of the family room or a guest house, so to say. equipped with all modern amenities, it is still a very typically Indian Hindu household with deep rooted values and respect for tradition and culture. For someone looking forward for a learning and enriching experience while enjoying themselves to the full , this is teh best opportunity one can ask for.
I, myself am an avid traveller, and am educated in the Western academic curricullum, although being very Indian at heart and in values. Hence, language will never be a barrier and if all goes well, and we hit off, I can lend a local touch to your thorough fares and provide some scope for adventure in and around teh city.

In 2,500 years India has never invaded any culture or human settlement, but once you visit India it will invade your heart and keep making you come back asking for more and more.
Other things to note
Family meals will be strictly vegetarian. No consumption of meat within house premises.
Although smoking within premises is not encouraged but can be arranged on grounds of agreeing to inconspicuousity.
